NSW: Jerry Lewis Sydney concerts cancelled

Veteran US comedian JERRY LEWIS, 73, has been forced to cancel the final leg of his
Australian tour after being struck down with viral meningitis.

A spokeswoman for the entertainer says LEWIS is still recovering in a Darwin hospital after
being struck down with the potentially fatal condition.

The spokeswoman says LEWIS, who fell ill on Sunday, was set to begin his final four shows
in Sydney on Saturday.

She says doctors are confident he'll fully recover and he'll fly home to the United States
in the next few days.
