Apr. 19--Strike up the band! Paul Landerman, longtime orchestra leader to Hartford society, the tall man with the trombone and matinee idol good looks, turns 90 today. It's particularly important that we note this significant milestone because for at least 20 years he has been joking that people have thought he has been dead for years. He does have some company in the 90-year-old set. Stanley Aronson, his former saxophone player, who also played in Glenn Miller's orchestra, recently beat him to the 90 candles. Landerman, who lives in West Hartford, started out in 1939 leading 15- to 17-piece orchestras with his brother Maurice, a violinist, who has died. They were …
